What RugReady does
- Reduce a photo to a chosen number of yarn colors and clean up regions too small to tuft
- Edit, isolate, and track every yarn color, with undo and redo
- Mirror the design for tufting from the back of the cloth
- Set the finished rug width and height
- Project the stencil at true size on a calibrated external display or projector (Pro)
- Export a true-size tiled PDF for A4 or US Letter with overlap and registration marks (Pro)
- Tuft Mode: show one yarn color at a time while tufting (Pro)
- Yarn plan: grams per color from coverage, size, pile height, and yarn weight, adjustable to your own usage
- Room preview: place the rug on your floor at real size with AR
- Project library with progress by color and a photo of the finished rug
When RugReady is a good fit
RugReady suits tufters who start from their own photo, logo, pet portrait, or illustration and want a clean pattern with a limited yarn palette, a true-size tracing method, and a yarn shopping list, all on an iPhone. If you need a desktop vector editor or work on Android, a different tool will fit better.
